This Limited Warranty is offered by TravelMechanic ("we" or "TravelMechanic"). We stand by the quality of our services and want to ensure your peace of mind when you choose us for your maintenance and repair needs. Below, we outline the coverage and conditions of our Limited Warranty:
Coverage
Subject to the conditions outlined below, TravelMechanic warrants that all maintenance and repair services you purchase and receive through our platform (the "Services") will be free from defects in the materials supplied by us, including parts used in the Services, as well as in the workmanship performed by our skilled technicians
Exclusions
It's important to note that our Limited Warranty does not extend to incidental or consequential damages, unless such exclusion is prohibited by applicable law. We explicitly disclaim any implied warranties that are not expressly contained within this Limited Warranty and our Terms of Service document
Limitation of damages
The total amount of damages covered by this Limited Warranty will not exceed the actual costs incurred for the covered repairs. Our aim is to provide you with a fair and reasonable solution in the event of any issues covered by this warranty
Transferability
Please be aware that this Limited Warranty is extended solely to the original purchaser of the Services. It is not transferable and does not apply to any individuals who may subsequently purchase, borrow, use, or lease the vehicle after the Services have been performed
Duration of coverage

Coverage period
Unless otherwise specified, our Limited Warranty is valid for a period of 12 months or 12,000 miles of use, whichever comes first. This period is measured from the date and odometer reading at the time when we provided the Services (referred to as the "Warranty Period")
Specific warranty for oil changes
For oil changes, we offer a specific warranty period. The warranty for oil changes extends for 90 days or 3,000 miles, depending on which comes first
Part-specific warranties
If any part supplied as part of the Services carries a separate warranty that surpasses the Warranty Period mentioned above, that longer warranty will be applicable to that specific part. Our Limited Warranty, in this case, will apply to the work performed by our mechanic
Important note
It's essential to keep in mind that any remedial work carried out under our Limited Warranty will not reset or extend the original warranty period
How we address defective services during the warranty period
At TravelMechanic, we stand behind the quality of our services. If you encounter any defects in either the materials provided or the work performed during the Warranty Period, we're here to make it right. Here's how we handle it:
Complimentary correction
We will assign a skilled mechanic at no cost to you to rectify the defect promptly. This may involve replacing any defective part(s) used in the initial service to ensure your complete satisfaction
Full refund:
we offer you the option to receive a full refund of the total amount you originally paid for the Services. It's important to note that any promotions or discounts applied to reduce the service cost will not be included in the refund under our Limited Warranty. We will refund only what you actually paid
Stay in touch
If you notice any defects covered by our Limited Warranty within the Warranty Period, please get in touch with TravelMechanic promptly. We'll initiate a diagnostic or repair process to address the issue effectively. It's essential to reach out to us before considering any alternative solutions
Voiding your warranty
Taking your vehicle to a service provider not scheduled and processed through the TravelMechanic Platform during the Warranty Period may void your warranty. We recommend contacting us first so that we can promptly assess and address the problem
What falls outside the scope of our limited warranty?
Our Limited Warranty at TravelMechanic is designed to provide you with peace of mind, but it's essential to understand its scope and limitations. Please take note of the following situations and scenarios not covered by our warranty:
- Direct payments to mechanics: Our limited warranty does not apply to any work for which you have directly paid the mechanic, bypassing payment through TravelMechanic
- Unprocessed services: Any work that was not scheduled and processed through TravelMechanic is not covered. This includes work performed by a mechanic initially introduced through TravelMechanic but not scheduled through our platform, work performed by any mechanic or individual not affiliated with TravelMechanic, and any work performed by you
- Damage due to specific causes: We do not cover damage to your vehicle resulting from abnormal use, misuse, neglect (such as failing to follow recommended maintenance outlined in your car's owner's manual), alterations, tampering, or external causes (including accidents, theft, vandalism, fire, water, wind, hail, and freezing temperatures)
- Commercial vehicle usage: Our warranty does not extend to vehicles used for commercial purposes
- Issues unrelated to purchased services: Any issues unrelated to the specific Services you purchased are not covered. For example, if you purchased an oil change from us, and your car experiences an oil leak due to faulty engine seals or gaskets (not related to the service performed), our Limited Warranty would not cover this
- Diagnostic or inspection services: Our warranty does not include diagnostic or inspection services, including pre-purchase inspections provided through the TravelMechanic Platform
- Pre-existing conditions: We do not cover pre-existing conditions with your vehicle that were not known by the Technician before initiating the Vehicle Services. If such conditions are discovered during or after the Vehicle Services, they are not covered
- Additional repairs beyond diagnosis Any repairs requested by you that extend beyond those included in the Technician's initial diagnosis are not covered by our warranty. However, if you authorize and pay for additional repairs through TravelMechanic, they will be included in the Vehicle Services and covered
- Consequential effects Our limited warranty excludes coverage for any consequential effects of the Vehicle Services unrelated to defective parts or incorrectly performed repair work. For instance, if a transmission fluid service reveals issues due to prior irregular maintenance, resulting in shifting problems, this is considered a "consequential effect" not covered
- Unauthorized parts installation Installing parts not ordered through the TravelMechanic Platform by the Technician will void the warranty
- Non-compliance with manufacturer recommendations Our warranty does not cover service requests that deviate from the manufacturer's recommendations. Please ensure that service requests align with the manufacturer's specifications
- Independent repairs If, after receiving our Vehicle Services, you seek repairs elsewhere without giving TravelMechanic the opportunity to inspect or remedy the problem, our warranty may become void
Our discretion and charges:
Determinations regarding warranty claims, exclusions, or voidance will be made by TravelMechanic at our sole discretion. If a service call is made under this limited warranty for a claimed defect that is determined not to be a result of a defect in materials or workmanship of the Vehicle Services, you will be charged one hour of labor fees. Please note that charges for non-warranty services ordered concurrently with warranty services must be paid
